This is located at 10-16 Pump Street on the second floor. There is a bulletin board with items of interest and we are in the process of establishing a library of books and journals donations are most welcome. Second Annual General Membership Meeting: Our second AGM will be held on Wednesday, As required by our Constitution, we will consider the Annual Report of work done by or under the auspices of the Management Committee; a report of our financial status; election of officers and members to serve on the Management Committee; and the transaction of other such matters as may be considered necessary. We will be sending you additional information prior to our meeting. If you cannot attend but wish to have some matter considered by the AGM, please submit it in writing no later than 10 October 2001. Final Reminder: Yabo Yablonsky Script Writing Master Class (play and film) begins Tuesday, 9 October 2001 @ 2:00pm. You need to sign up in advance so please do so ASAP to ensure your enrollment. Yablonsky will also direct his play 'Jews Without Money' featuring local talent. There are 18 roles in this play, six of them for young people under the age of 20. A casting call will be sent to all of you shortly with a description of the roles to be cast. However, in the interim please let us know if you are interested in auditioning. We will also notify drama classes at local secondary schools and youth drama groups as well as adult drama groups. If you know of any such groups we should contact, please let us know. DPW Journal: Submissions must be received by 15 September 2001.
The Millennium Scribblers Poetry & Short Story Competition 2001. The winners will be published on the Millennium Scribblers' Website. The Category A (those aged 18+) winner in each section will receive œ60; Category B (those aged between 13-17) will receive œ10. Francis MacManus Short Story Competition: The pot is €4,000 this year, and winners also have their 15 minutes of fame when their stories are broadcast on RT Radio 1. Copy of rules obtained from: Francis MacManus Awards, RT Radio Centre, Donnybrook, Dublin 4. Closing date is 14 September 2001.
